Now Murcia denounces the work of heavy machinery for the arrival of the AVE to Murcia (24/08/2015)

Ballesta urge ten days ago to demand explanations about why ADIF works at the railway station and its surroundings

MURCIA NOW denounces the presence of heavy machinery in the vicinity of the station Carmen, working for the arrival of the AVE to the city of Murcia.

These works seem to go on line to reshape the beach road from the station to have different widths, while the removal of stores Renfe is occurring would be related to the planned expansion, the arrival of the AVE project without burying of the current platforms and the construction of a new one.

The municipal formation remember that the full City Council agreed last July paralyzing TGV works, so that such actions would violate the agreement, as well as the requirement that comes with comprehensive underground infrastructure.

NOW MURCIA ten days ago and he urged the mayor, José Ballesta, to seek explanations from ADIF on the occasion of the works that were occurring at the station del Carmen and its surroundings.

A lack of response to this request is now added the worsening situation with the start of work of heavy machinery, so we asked again the City Council to urge the Ministry of Public Works to stop the works and conforming to the motion the Plenary approved.

The lack of commitment Ballesta with the arrival of the AVE to Murcia with comprehensive excavation was highlighted at the meeting on 30 July Murcia High Speed society in which, as shown in its minutes, supported the electoral stance that the national PP AVE Murcia arrives as soon as possible, if only under the conditions that the city requires and deserves.
