The socialist councilor Begoña García Retegui has addressed the council responsible for Culture to request changes in municipal cultural management: "What we call for is to have a single administrative unit and that there is coordination in the management of the cultural policy of theaters, auditoriums and cultural center neighborhoods and districts ".

The Socialist councilor said that "there is an administrative dispersion, lack of complementarity and poor coordination of those involved in cultural management of the municipality of Murcia," referring to a management which currently holds the Teatro Bernal and Romea without direction, "but dismissed former directors following programming activity and positions of trust dependent mayor that do not coordinate with the administrative structure of the council".

"There is no any coordination between the municipal theaters or the center Puertas de Castilla. Programming about considering the other was not planned. It is chaotic," stated the Socialist councilor.

"We believe that it is possible to recover the management of theaters and cultural centers by the municipality, with municipal officials in charge of them, coordinating programming and creating your own website for auditoriums and cultural centers in neighborhoods and districts", has Retegui proposed García, who added that "theaters, concert halls, museums, libraries and cultural centers need to become a privileged partnership platform for cultural workers, businesses and creators, with overall strategies and a cultural aspiring to be attractive to all kinds of public and allows adding new activities, "he concluded.
