The bikes manufactured in Murcia tour the cities of Spain (05/08/2015)

The Mayor, José Ballesta, this morning visited the company TuboMurcia, whose facilities have left more than 1,500 bikes used in public rental services driven by different municipalities.

With a staff of 25 workers, the factory is an example of that, along with the environmental benefits, the use of bicycles also creates "green jobs".

The use of bicycles as a regular means of transport in urban travel is a factor that directly affects building more livable cities and, more importantly, helps to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants and reduce air pollution .

However, environmental issues are not the only ones that provide advantages.

There is also an economic aspect that is found in the creation of jobs linked to cycling.

One example is the company TuboMurcia where bending and assembly of aluminum frames Bikes designed and implemented by Labici, including manufactured, which are used in the rental service of the City of Murcia, MUyBICI.

The Mayor, José Ballesta, together with the Councillor for Traffic Safety and Civil Protection, Lola Sanchez, this morning visited the facilities of the company located in the industrial area west of San Gines, of which 1,500 units have left, including , 600 of Muybici.

This Spanish company bicycles used by Labici are manufactured in the cities where public rental service manages, specifically, in addition to Murcia in Benidorm (Bicidorm), Altea (BiciAltea), Ponferrada (Ponferrada Labici), as well as to replace Gandia fleets (Saforbici), Getafe (Gbici) and A Coruña (BiciCoruña), and will soon begin to equip the new stations Encicla Labici in the public transport system in Medellin bike.

Twenty-five people are currently TuboMurcia template, whose activity is focused exclusively on meeting the needs of public transport services managed Labici bike.

At the moment it is also negotiating supplies to A Coruna, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Mallorca.

The dimension of the Spanish company is in line with the sector of bicycles in Spain, where it employs 16,714 workers, with an average workforce of 20.5 workers per supplier and 3.4 per outlet.

Despite the economic crisis, the bicycle sector in Spain has grown in recent years, according to a study AMBE (Trademark Association cycling sector), formed by manufacturers, importers and distributors.

Three months MUyBICI
