Aguas de Murcia is owned 51% by the city of Murcia and 49% by private capital (Hidrogea).
However, this situation does not correspond to reality with a preferred control of the public sector on the private management of the company.
This is shown in the sessions of the Board, where public representatives received a number of items on the agenda determined in advance by the private part of the company.
In addition, there is no prior set of issues dealing analysis and decision-making as municipal representatives in accordance with public interest that we should do with respect.
Thus, economic, financial and social decisions are taken without obvious importance previous work from the public side.
It is recalled that the council members of the Board of Directors of Aguas de Murcia not act as representatives of our respective organizations but as representatives of the citizens.
This disorganization of municipal representatives in their responsibility within Aguas de Murcia is not in any way attributable to the private party.
Rather, it is a dereliction of duties on our part and we must recognize it.
By the above, the undersigned Councillor rises to the plenary for discussion and approval the following
