The slaughter of cattle drives the growth of the slaughterhouse activity Mercamurcia 13% (21/07/2015)

Mercamurcia slaughter increased by 13.17% to sacrifice volume in June compared with the same period last year.

This increase is related to the good performance of the slaughter of cattle, which is showing a positive trend since February.

This has been one of the aspects highlighted today at the first meeting of the board of the company, held under the chairmanship of the Mayor, José Ballesta.

In the same they have also analyzed the progress of the Food Unit in the second quarter, in which include the smooth running especially Slaughterhouse and the Fruit and Vegetable Market.

Regarding the latter, the marketing until the second quarter was 2.03% higher than that achieved until June 2014. Note that in this market has finally implemented the flat-rate system since 1 April after settlement agreements with wholesalers thereof.

The Managing Director has also informed of the progress of the project to implement technological renovation of the company in order to provide it with the necessary to achieve better management, control and monitoring of the evolution of the company's tools.

Prior to the board of directors was held the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Mercamurcia to proceed to the removal of members of the previous council and the appointment of the new president and new members of the company, by the municipality, they are:
