The Mayor, José Ballesta, will chair Friday for the first time, the meeting of the board of the Network of Cities for the Bicycle (RCxB) which also will be held in Murcia.
Apart from Murcia, part of this body the Council of Barcelona, ​​and the cities of Madrid, Alcobendas, Santander, Sevilla, Zaragoza, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Castrillón, Alovera, Barcelona and its metropolitan area, Alicante and Burgos.
Murcia City Council chairs the RCxB since 2011 and in October holding a general meeting with all members is planned.
The organization, which was created in 2009, aims to promote a dynamic between the Spanish cities in order to facilitate, and develop safer movement of cyclists, particularly in urban areas
