The Mayor, José Ballesta, has assured the Association of Paraplegic and Physically Handicapped of the Autonomous Community of Murcia (Aspaym), that the City continue with the program of removal of architectural barriers in public buildings and to enjoy as well , in streets, squares and gardens accessible to all.
Thus it has been said Mayor Joseph Grace Villanueva, president of the association, who met this morning, also accompanied by the councilman of Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz.
Ballesta has insisted that the work of the City Council is allowing eliminate the difficulties that still have some streets to access on their crosses for the elderly, handicapped and physically disabled will be maintained.
Accessibility issues are a serious obstacle to the integration of people with physical disabilities and hence the interest to end these impediments.
In addition, the City will maintain its collaboration with Aspaym for conducting its annual work plan, among other actions, including the development of prevention campaigns, workshops and courses, volunteer training and social care.
