The exhibition of Angel Haro'Estrella the norte' remains open until Sunday in Murcia Veronicas Room (14/07/2015)

The deadline to participate in the photo and video contest organized on the occasion of this project also ends this Sunday, July 19

The exhibition of Angel Haro 'North Star', organized by the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson in Murcia Veronicas Room, will close this Sunday, July 19, after the nearly 3,000 people have visited since it opened.

With this exhibition season ends this space which reopened in September 2014 and which created their exhibition projects in addition to Haro, artists Nico Munuera and Daniel Canogar.

The Minister of Culture and Spokesperson, Noelia Arroyo, today visited the exhibition with the artist and underlined "the success of the renewed programming designed for Culture for the Veronicas Chamber, which have spent this season more than 16,000 people. In this way , Veronicas is reaffirmed as a reference in contemporary art and has met the goal of combining the high quality of the exhibitions of artists and renowned high level with the proximity to the public of the region. "

'North Star' is a multidisciplinary work where different artistic languages ​​such as painting, sculpture or audiovisual, and has been created by the artist for this unique exhibition space that is the former convent church of the eighteenth century combined.

Angel Haro Veronicas created for an integrated project of four parts.

The main work, the title of the exhibition, is a train that fills the entire room.

This work, which combines mechanics, movement, sculpture, video and sound space, really consists of two parts: an audiovisual production of a digitally processed and that evokes the early days of cinema landscape;

and sculpture that moves on rails.

In contrast to travel and freedom, the artist has placed on the inside of the church, behind the lattice, the 'Odalisque' metal sculpture, evoking rationality captivity and constrained carnal pleasure.

'Nimbus', a projection on the inside of the dome of the old church, and 'Dam', a circular painting on aluminum inspired by landscapes located between White and Ojós, are the works that complete 'North Star', which you can visit until next July 19, Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00.

Competition and catalog

On the occasion of this exhibition, the artist and Culture have organized a photo and video contest open to the public that it has extended the deadline for receipt until July 19, the last in which the sample will remain open.

The Minister Noelia Arroyo said: "This competition is an incentive and a wonderful opportunity to see otherwise the exhibition room houses the Veronicas, as visitors rediscover through its objectives and must find an original look what there It sets out to win one of the graphic works of Haro to be delivered to the best pictures and videos you still have time to make visitors ".

Images and videos can be sent to email info@salaveronicas.es and jury will choose five winners who will be awarded graphic works Haro paths.

Visitors who come to Veronicas may also, if they wish, acquire the catalog prepared on the occasion of the exhibition 'North Star'.

In the publication, on sale for 15 euros, numerous photographic material is collected from both the project itself and the execution of the works and several texts among which an extensive interview with Angel Haro by the curator of the exhibition Julieta de Haro.
