"Forrest Gump," "The Name of the Rose" and "Blade Runner", present in a course at the University of the Sea (09/07/2015)

Fragments of films like "Manolito Gafotas", "Un Chien Andalou", "The Name of the Rose", "Blade Runner" or "Forrest Gump" will be part of the course "Cinema as a teaching resource for teaching the Humanities" integrated into the Sea International University-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held at the Cultural Center of the Clear (Murcia) between 20 and 23 July.

According to officials of the course, the film has offered a considerable number of films focusing on subjects such as history, literature, art, philosophy and music, which can be a very effective tool to enhance the texts on the materials.

The course is based on the projection of fragments of films that address these five topics, conveniently explained by the directors of the same: Jose Hernandez Rubio, a professor at Carlos III of Madrid and Carlos Salas González University, the University of Murcia.

The activity is intended to provide guidance on a working method to extract possessing teaching films and provide the tools for the educator, teacher or private, work with your students: comparison fiction / reality, meaning or message, film analysis ... and to facilitate a teaching unit for each of the materials.

The course has a duration of 25 hours, and those who enroll in it shall be entitled to 2.5 free elective credit or ECTS-credit CRAU.
