Mayor, Jose Lopez, shows "public support for the UCAM by the Government and the Municipal Corporation of Cartagena" (03/07/2015)

The Mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, who has done this morning visit to the Campus of Sorrows accompanied by Council of Sports, Ricardo Segado and Culture, David Martinez, said during the same " we know that will put UCAM Cartagena in the academic and university map of Spain, Europe and the World, and we are very confident in the potential of the UCAM ".

Therefore, "the Catholic University will find desire to contribute both Ana Belen Castejon Socialist Party and Citizen Movement, may ignore us any problems at the municipal level."

The President of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, stressed the importance which will involve the introduction of new degrees on the campus of Cartagena.

During 2015/16 begin teaching degrees in Psychology, Criminology and Physiotherapy, and specially emphasizing the School of Tourism UCAM Cartagena and implementation Degree in Medicine, a "vital" subject to this campus.

After the final clearances, these qualifications join those already taught in the Campus of Sorrows: Degrees in Science of Physical Activity and Sport, Nursing, Law, Education and Primary.

During the tour, the authorities have visited the building of the Presidency and administrative services, as well as the chapel, the library and the classrooms, where laboratories and computer rooms are also located.

Besides touring all campus facilities already in operation, the Municipal delegation visited the works of the new pavilion where classes of Vocational Training San Antonio Professional Training Institute of Cartagena, whose final approval will be given by the Community is expected within weeks.
