The University of Murcia guarantee the financing of all studies mobility Erasmus and Erasmus Practices assigned to this educational institution for next year, in the amounts set out in European regulations by country of destination.
This is reflected in the report to the Vice Chancellor for Coordination and Internationalisation, Professor Bernardo Cascales, presented today to the Board of Governors of the University, which met in the building of convalescence, home of the Chancellor.
The report also provides as regards the call Erasmus KA-107 mobility with third countries which replaces that of Erasmus Mundus, and the funding of the University of Murcia puts this institution in fourth place nationally.
Cascales explained that the latter program is very competitive, so the position of the University of Murcia is a recognition of his determination to encourage everything related to internationalization.
The document also refers to the activity that teachers of the Faculty of Education developed in Ecuador in a project that aims to improve the funding of non-university teachers in that country.
On the other hand, both the rector, Jose Orihuela, as the Dean of Law, David Lorenzo Morillas, reported the renewal process to be carried out at the School of Legal Practice, which includes, among other actions, writing of new statutes, as current, 1981, they have become obsolete.
That will be one of the missions of the team that will coordinate Professor Maria Angeles Sanchez, who has been named interim director of the School.
Orihuela, meanwhile, during the exhibition of his report, has announced that after the award of the Gold Medals in the Region to the faculties of law and chemistry and, posthumously, to Professor Antonio Reverte delivered last Region-Day, the Autonomous Community gave distinctions identical to those of Literature and Philosophy.
The latter, he added, will be delivered in a similar event next year, highlighting the rector the "sensitivity" of the regional government with these awards.
Finally, the Governing Council has approved the request of the Faculty of Medicine of allowing the examination session in September, this year, due to the special circumstances that exist in this course.
This authorization is reserved exclusively to students of sixth course of Medicine.
