The Civil Guard dismantled two clandestine marijuana greenhouses in Murcia (27/06/2015)

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia, in the framework of the operation 'Bedas' established to prevent and prosecute drug trafficking, has dismantled two clandestine greenhouses dedicated to intensive cultivation of marijuana in Murcia villages of La Alberca and Gea and truyols, where they have seized more than 500 cannabis sativa plants.

It has also been arrested four people on suspicion of drug trafficking offenses and theft of electricity.

The operation began in April when the Civil Guard detected the existence of several points, suspected of harboring large amounts of marijuana plants where, in addition to cultivation, dosed for resale.

One of the greenhouses dismantled, was in a residential area on the outskirts of Murcia, in the town of Gea and Truyols.

This estate offered certain guarantees of discretion, by its location at the bottom of a dead end and a large plot, which prevented all view it.

The other was installed a floor of a building in a busy residential area of ​​La Alberca Murcia, which its director was sealed and soundproofed to avoid suspicion in the neighborhood odor or noise.

In recent days and after obtaining all necessary evidence, the Civil Guard has informed the competent judicial authority of the outcome of the investigation, which has authorized entry and search warrant on the two properties.

The police operation, in which participated about fifty troops, has resulted in the in the dismantling of two clandestine greenhouses, which have been seized over 500 plants of cannabis sativa in various stages of growth, 5.000 grams buds of marijuana ready for distribution imminent and 70 grams of hashish pollen.

He has also been involved numerous materials used for cultivation and spotlights dosage, fans and scales, among others, and a vehicle.

Given the suspicions of an alleged fraud of electricity at full capacity to maintain facilities unbilled consumption, the researchers had the collaboration of technicians utility companies who found tampering on the grid in both plantations.

This collaboration has been revealing to know that these illegal connections, for its cleanliness and installation expertise, could have been made by people with some skill and expertise in industrial electrical installations.

Operation 'Bedas' has culminated in the dismantling of two points of cultivation, handling and distribution of drugs, which were seized more than 500 cannabis sativa plants in various stages of growth, 5 kilos of marijuana buds ready for sale, 70 grams of hashish pollen and numerous material used for cultivation as spotlights, fans and scales, among others, and a vehicle.

The four responsible for these plantations have been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking offenses and theft of electricity.

Those arrested, the seized material, drugs and the proceedings initiated have been made available to the Magistrate's Court in Murcia.

Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the 5th Zone Civil Guard has developed research, with the support of the Public Safety Unit and the dog expert service during the exploitation phase.

The operation is still open, so further action and arrests are not ruled out.
