The University of Murcia has claimed the maintenance service provided by the city bus line 39, which reaches the campus of Espinardo, due to the activity still takes place in the same during the months of June and July.
Vice Chancellor for Students, Miguel Angel Perez, the needs of students, teachers and administrative staff and services make it necessary to maintain service during those months.
Thus exposed, there are many people who daily must attend the campus of Espinardo for tests, or various steps or to go to school to study or attend lectures and conferences, etc., in addition to the service provided in centers and departments they are required.
Moreover, both Perez as vice president of Infrastructure and Sustainability, José María Abellán, have approached the Minister of Development of the regional government, Francisco Barnabas, improvements in demand for transportation to that campus and Health Sciences, the latter, in the Murcia village of El Palmar.
With regard to Espinardo, it insists on the need to reinforce the line in particular demanded 39 hours as well as service maintenance in the months of June and July.
As for the Health Sciences, the vice-chancellors "consider appropriate and necessary" to address the implementation of line 87 Arrixaca-Campus Espinardo Murcia-Molina de Segura-which would facilitate communication between the two campuses.
