The University of Murcia close the commemoration of its centennial with a concert to be held later this year in the Auditorium Victor Villegas, in which a selection of the oratorio "Messiah" by GF Handel, will be interpreted by the Symphony Orchestra Murcia and the University Choir of Murcia.

The Coral, who turns in 2016 fifty years of life, their number will be increased with all former members who wish to join the group on this special occasion.

The concert is organized by the educational institution, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the sponsorship of the Cajamurcia Foundation, part of the "Christmas with Cajamurcia".

The University Choir was founded in 1966 by Enrique Gonzalez Semitiel and in its long history has played the most famous choral works, with tours abroad for Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and much of geography Spanish.

Its current director is Jorge Losana.
