The Faculty of the University of Murcia, which met today in the auditorium, has awarded an honorary doctorate of the institution Teaching Professor of Social Sciences at the University of Barcelona Joaquín Prats Cuevas.
The appointment, proposed by the Department of Teaching Social Sciences and Mathematics and Modern, Contemporary and American History, has been defended by the professor of the Faculty of Arts Francisco Chacon.
Chacon Prats Cuevas has defined as "an educational innovative" and stressed that his teaching and research activities must unite its efforts during his time as deputy general manager of Teacher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science and a member since 2007 of the National Accrediting Commission of Professors in the area of ​​Social and Legal Sciences.
Moreover, the Senate has received the reports of the various committees thereof, including the Academic, Legal Scholarship and Awards, on its activities in recent months.
The president of the latter, Jorge Costa, has reported on the revision of the Statutes of the University of Murcia, noting that 156 have already studied the 223 articles of which it consists.
Meanwhile, the presidents of the Commission of Academic Distinctions and Scholarships, Maria Jesus Ruiz Ruiz and Salvador, respectively, have exposed the outcome of their meetings.
The secretary of the Commission on Quality, Miguel Buttes, has highlighted the positive developments recorded in all branches and students have expressed their satisfaction with the teaching received, reaching close to 4 average maximum score of 5 .
