The City Council held tomorrow the constituent session of the new corporation and election of Mayor (12/06/2015)

Tomorrow, at 11 am, the constitutive session of the new municipal council of Murcia and the election of President Mayor be held.

The event will start with the formation of the Council of Elders, which this time will consist of Jose Ignacio Gras (PSOE) and Margarita Guerrero (s change).

Both made the oath or affirmation and receive the medal, sash and coat lapel and then proceed like other councilors.

The Secretary General then cede the floor to the top of the list in past elections, to ask if candidates running for mayor.

The interventions planned order is as follows: Jose Ignacio Tornel (Let's change), Alicia Morales (It's Now Murcia), Mario Gomez (Citizens), José Ignacio Gras (PSOE) and José Francisco Ballesta (PP).

Each council will be called by the Secretary General, one by one, to cast their ballots in the ballot box placed on the desk chair.

Once the ballot, the candidate who is elected by an absolute majority or otherwise, who topped the list that was most votes in the elections held on May 24 will be proclaimed.

At that time, whoever is elected oath or promise and receive the gold medal and corporate baton.

After holding the Chair of the Plenary, the new mayor will deliver the inaugural address.
