Reading Clubs in the Social Centres for the Elderly of the municipality of Murcia have been operating since 1998 through a collaboration agreement signed between the city of Murcia and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Autonomous Community, which also involved volunteer organizations.
The objectives of this activity include the promotion of reading habit among older people and the social and individual improvement of this sector of the population, through the promotion of the cultural and educational activity.
