Nuclear Physics Division of the European Physical Society (EPS) has awarded a doctoral thesis at the University of Murcia José Manuel Alarcon Soriano.

This award recognizes the excellence of a thesis in experimental, theoretical or applied nuclear physics developed in a country belonging to the EPS between 2012 and 2014 nuclear physics.

The thesis, "chiral perturbation theory with baryons in their manifestly covariant forms and dynamics study on resonance pN & Y (2175)", was directed by Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Murcia José Antonio Oller.
