Students learn that the South Coast "I can also be solidarity" (03/06/2015)

Promote the values ​​of solidarity among children in the districts of the South Coast is the objective of the campaign "I can also be solidarity 2015" for the second year has been convened by the Department of Equality Policy and Development Cooperation.

The event, aimed at 12 primary and three higher education institutions located in the scope of the social services center "South Murcia", has registered more than 600 participants.

The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, accompanied by the councilors Alicia Barquero and Lola Sanchez, has delivered this morning the prizes won by the winner -from Rocio Romero CEIP Antonio Diaz, Los Garres- and Priscilla Serrano Francisco Salzillo -from PAD, Los Ramos, ranked second place-, consisting of four tickets to a children's show, trophy and school supplies.

They have also received their gifts the students of 4th and 4th B diversification of IES Basilica of Algezares, and 4 A of IES Monte Miravete, Torreagüera, winners of the video competition.

In this case, the prizes have included a diploma, bag and t-shirt Volunteer Office, trophy and a nautical excursion for the group to Los Alcázares.

In this second edition was attended primary schools Francisco Noguera Saura, of San Jose de la Vega, Our Lady of Fatima, Beniaján, Maestro Enrique Laborda, Los Dolores, Los Rosales, El Palmar, El Molino, La Alberca Jose Maria Parraga, El Palmar, Antonio Diaz, Los Garres, Cristo del Valle, Torreagüera, Santa Rosa de Lima, El Palmar, Jose Martinez Tornel, Patino, Francisco Salzillo, Los Ramos, and Virgin Fuensanta, La Alberca.

The campaign, promoted by the Department of Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, aims to highlight the importance of working with younger certain values, including solidarity and mutual support in everyday life.

Enter other activities, has published a story written by members of the Office of Volunteers, professionals and volunteers from social service center "Murcia Sur", adapted to the population to which it is addressed, where students interact and intervene in the dynamics of the campaign.

For colleges, the proposal has been the development of a video by the students themselves with the theme "What it means for them and they volunteer?"
