Yoga, workshops and exhibitions to raise awareness about caring for the environment (01/06/2015)

The Malecon Garden hosts a public morning yoga session, from 20 am, in the commemoration of World Environment Day.

The exhibition is open to all those interested in participating in the practice of this physical activity to promote our parks as places of relaxation.

This activity is part of the organized by the city of Murcia under the motto "Live your garden", among which the information booth installed in the Plaza de Santo Domingo until June 5 to raise awareness about the importance Murcia protection of the environment, and the role of green spaces in urban environments.

From Friday 29 Friday booth Santo Domingo has been offering tastings and workshops, which continue this afternoon with the workshop "Make your own eco planter" and the evenings of June 3 with a "Workshop of recycled toys", the Thursday, June 4 with an "Exhibition of sustainable gadgets equipment powered by solar energy" and a "workshop kite" to which it has the support of IES Mariano Baquero, and on Friday, June 5, at 19 hours, with a storyteller outdoor specially designed for children.

In addition to planned activities, those who come to the house you can see the winning posters in the school competition on World Environment Day promoted by the City, or participate in "The Garden of Ideas", the recreation of a small garden with figures of recycled cardboard where people who want hang with post-it suggestions and proposals for improving the green areas of the municipality.

The celebration of World Environment Day, promoted by UNESCO, is commemorated around the world since 1973, in honor of the first United Nations Conference on Environment of June 5, 1972 in Stockholm.

The information booth is part of the Program for Environmental Information and Sensitization of the Department of Environment.
