The University of Murcia has signed an agreement with Adixmur (Association of Dyslexia and other learning disabilities), under which the educational institution will carry out various activities to support students with dyslexia and other learning disorders.
The most immediate development of the agreement is to adapt the upcoming entrance examinations to the University, which will be based on the individual assessment of each student by specialists in accessibility and educational diversity.
Adaptations may include an increase of 17% of the time to take the exam (15 minutes), in specific recommendations evaluators in correcting, in a preferred location in the classroom and provide students these organizers information.
Also provides for a more structured questions to improve their reading and understanding as well as the adequacy of formal aspects of them, such as line spacing, letter spacing, etc.
All these adaptations will be carried out under the permanent supervision of the technical staff for diversity at the University of Murcia.
Collaboration with Adixmur, shows the commitment of this educational institution with society, it is an initiative of the Vice President for Student, Quality and Equality, through the Service for Diversity and Volunteerism.
