The rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, said in a video sent to the university community that the educational institution may go bankrupt in 2016 or 2017 if the regional government funding does not improve.

Orihuela remember that to avoid this scenario, the University has proposed a multi-year funding plan, "tied to productivity and insertion of graduates," which "has been supported by all parties except the PP."
