Ballesta boost'incubadoras culturales' for artists and creators Murcia (19/05/2015)

The PP candidate stressed their "commitment to the local culture, because in Murcia we have great artists, creators, writers and will provide space and necessary means"

The PP candidate for mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, push the "cultural incubators" for artists and creators Murcia as one of the new initiatives that collects the PP's electoral program for the municipality of Murcia and now detailed in a meeting with cultural managers, designers and artists of the municipality, "an area where Murcia is especially fertile," said the candidate.

Ballesta said that "to promote the commitment to culture, will put at your service all spaces and cultural facilities that the city, so that those places become engines of cultural energy".

In this regard, he added that "we do not create culture, artists are those who do and our task is to provide the necessary means and that is what we will do."

So he said that "cultural incubators are spaces for the generation of new ideas, trends and tendencies that we also want to compete in Europe, they do not remain only at the local level, and that stand out for their quality and character indigenous ".

These incubators provide creative sites on plots of unused municipal property, with the intention of bringing culture to the different neighborhoods and districts.

The spaces will be transferred to visual art collectives and plastics to develop and showcase their work.

"They will be creating nurseries open call, which will provide rehearsal spaces, temporary studios for artists, equipment, technology and materials," said Ballesta.

Commitment to local culture

Also, Ballesta stressed their "commitment to the local culture, because in Murcia we have great artists, creators, writers ... We bet on them for their creativity, ingenuity and imagination put it at the service of the city."

In this regard, he said that the City Council "our traditional culture and folklore, which are our cultural roots, and also promote the concept of cultural democracy, linking culture to the maximum social participation" will be supported.
