Los Rosales neighborhood of El Palmar hosts today, throughout the morning, multicultural activity The Source of Cultures, which is having a great success of participation.

Workshops, market and performances are some of the proposals.

Councilmember Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, stressed that the aim of this activity, held for the seventh consecutive year, is to show the different cultures that live daily in the neighborhood, to publicize the playful aspect and entertainment show different nationalities and cultural diversity of Los Rosales.

The initiative is organized by the Center for Community Action part of the Center of Social Services 'Murcia Sur' of the Department of Equality Policy and Development Cooperation of the City of Murcia, which develops throughout the year various activities with the families of Los Rosales to raise awareness and promote multiculturalism.

The Source of Cultures is taking place in the Garden of the Fountain, to 14.00.

Scheduled activities are:

• varied for participants in each of the booths workshops.

• Traditional games of Murcia, as well as the various participating countries.

• Representatives of each country dances on stage.

• Market of products made by workshop participants of different associations working in Los Rosales and benefit of Caritas El Palmar products.

• Development of a giant mandala made by young carers and adults participating in the activities of all the workshops that are driven from the district of Los Rosales and in their schools.

• MOROCCO, MOROCCAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION El Palmar.

• Musical Association of El Palmar.

• FSG.
