'Job Day' Day Employability (12/05/2015)

In order to publicize new tools and trends in order to enhance the professional development of students and graduates of the UCAM has been held today at the Campus of Los Jerónimos the "Job Day: Day of employability".

The initiative, which have been held different workshops and activities, has been driven from Murcia ITM Institute of Technology, which has as one of its premises to promote employment of students and graduates by offering workshops on how to make your resume, they know what is a selection process, what is expected of them and how to address obstacles to career success.

Likewise, it has provided participants with information and tips that help to turn them into professionals who demand businesses.

At the meeting, held in the Auditorium of the University, they have participated Helena Gonzalez, technical selection Universia Employment Department;

Stephanie Ruiz, coordinator shuttle Employment of the Region of Murcia;

Blas Subiela, coordinator of the Degree in Advertising and Public Relations of the UCAM;

Cecilia Baron, manager of SOIL Service Orientation and Job Placement University;

and Sergio Ortiz, head of HR of Leroy Merlin.

Among the most demanded employability criteria speakers today have stressed, among others, the importance of the placements during the race, the capacity for teamwork, adaptability to new environments, ease to function in adverse situations, and conflict resolution.

Also language and international experience are two decisive factors today.

"Having a work orientation according to current requirements of employers and HR services can make the difference of the professional future of the students," explained Helena Gonzalez.

Throughout the day they have developed active working sessions, mixing knowledge and skills, in order to maximize learning and developing leadership skills among participants.

In addition, stakeholders have been carried out various "role-playing" with professional consultants, which is the best way to prepare a real job interview, and an opportunity to chart new strategies when seeking employment.
