The SIME Working complaint to the City of Murcia by the poor state of the local police headquarters Espinardo (12/05/2015)

The Union of Public Employees SIME, the City of Murcia, has lodged a complaint with the Labour Inspectorate against the City by the deficiencies in the headquarters of the local police in Espinardo.

The SIME has been reporting for years, poor living conditions and safety of the local police headquarters in Espinardo, without, to date, the city of Murcia has taken steps to remedy the deficiencies that have been reported to the Inspectorate work.

It has lodged a complaint with the Labour Inspectorate after repeated requests by the SIME to try to address identified and brought to the attention of municipal officials shortcomings.

It is social housing, used as police headquarters and not meeting the minimum conditions for such work.

The metal spiral staircase that connects the ground floor with the garage does not meet the minimum width and safety for use.

No gunsmith, forcing the / as agents to take the service weapon to save your home or at the box office, without guaranteeing the minimum safety requirements established by law.

There is only one male wardrobe 8 m2 with 11 lockers, surely inadequate for the number of agents who serve in the barracks.

There is only one shower for 20 agents.

The toilets are in the dressing room without separation, or door that isolated.

There is no ramp for wheelchair access.

There is no emergency exit.

The presence of rats in the garage is detected.

There is an air conditioner broken for years.

There are leaks in the home.

Notably, on the other hand, the major expense that occurs to the police station construction in districts, such as the Pool, while there are other barracks, already in operation, do not meet the minimum requirements of safety and habitability , such as Bacons Bridge, the Palmar and Espinardo at hand.

Despite requests by the union to solve this problem, the City Council is deaf and has not the slightest desire to solution, preferring to spend in barracks that are unnecessary, as there is not enough staff to cover the needs of same, forcing displace other units from other quarters to service the new units as happened with the Esparragal and will happen with the pool.
