69% of crime victims are men, according to a study by Professor Muñoz Clares and students of the University of Murcia (11/05/2015)

69 percent of victims of homicides and murders committed in Spain are men, while women represent the remaining 31 percent, as reflected in a book published by the professor of the University of Murcia José Muñoz Clares five students of double degree in Law and ADE.

The work also indicates that as the perpetrators, the criminal acts committed by women only go to seven percent, while those authors whose men rise to 93 percent.

Regarding the object used to end the life of people, in 53 percent of cases cold weapons such as knives and knives, followed by those in which hands, feet or head of the aggressor are used are used, accounting for fifteen percent.

Most of the deaths occur at night, exceeding sixty percent, followed by the evening, with nearly forty percent.

Of the 370 cases that were tried during the past year, 218 crimes produced corresponded to the week and the rest, 152, at the weekend.

The book, edited by Diego Marin, also deals with cases of suicide, which is the leading cause of violent death in Spain, accounting for 7.6 per cent per 100,000 inhabitants.

Together with the aforementioned teacher, students who have participated in the preparation of the book, which includes numbers cases tried by the Spanish courts in 2014, is Alba Garcia Lopez, Antonio Losa Perez Laura Blázquez Mancera, Elena Enkovaara Minguez and Jose Antonio Perez Bastida .
