The University of Murcia organizes scientific excursions to Lorca, Ibi Botanical Garden and the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar (05/05/2015)

The Scientific Culture Unit (UCC-Prinum) of the University of Murcia, under the Vice President for Research, has prepared a program of excursions, free and open to the public, scientific and cultural, to be held during the mornings four consecutive Saturdays in May.

Visitors will have the explanations and comments from experts and tour the historic center of Lorca and its surroundings, the Botanical Garden of Ibi (Alicante) and the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar.

This Saturday, May 9, the historic town of Lorca will be known by visiting the Castle-Fortress, the Town Hall square, Calle Cava, the San Antonio Porch, the Guevara Palace and Loch Street.

For the next Saturday, May 16, in the vicinity of Lorca and Alhama failure protagonist, has organized a geological route of 3.8 kilometers, setting a total of 5 "thematic stops", which will be a monitor that receive the group and will give the explanation.

The stops have been selected for their geological interest and the participant will be provided a rigorous level of informative information that will allow you to see these places with "geological eyes" and glimpse some aspects of the functioning of the Earth.

The May 23 visit the Botanical Garden of Ibi, whose design integrated into the typical landscape of the Alicante rainfed evokes medieval gardens or orchards.

This space has made the conservation, research and dissemination of medicinal plants of its main hallmarks.

The tours will end on May 30 with the visit of the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar.
