UCAM professor López Puga published for the second time in less than a month in the journal Nature (02/05/2015)

The research, which also involved scientists from the US and Canada, focuses on the development of Bayesian statistics (named after its creator, the Reverend Bayes scientist XVIII century), to predict what might happen in the future, analyzing data and apply them to research in areas such as health, weather or sports, among others.

Communication continues in the same line of work that collected by the magazine in April last year, and goes one step further in the investigation.

"In this second edition we have taken a very important step, because we have taken the Bayes theorem statistical generally more real cases," says López Puga.

The publication by teacher-researchers of the UCAM in prestigious journals, as here in 'Nature Methods' with an impact factor of 25.9 and ranks first among journals in his area of ​​expertise, is further evidence quality of research performed at the Catholic University of Murcia, an area that has been intensely promoting both the acquisition of the most modern equipment, such as the empowerment of human resources to work in coordination with researchers from other universities, funding projects, industrial doctorates, etc.
