The PSOE remain in the city of Murcia Programs Training and job placement for young (28/04/2015)

The candidates for the City of Murcia, Esther and Begoña García Nevado Retegui met this morning with workers Initial Vocational Training Programs (PCPI) of the City of Murcia, who are unemployed since last September, is say, for eight months.

So far, the city of Murcia has given more than long these workers, who had over 20 years working in these programs.

The argument given was that a signature for the implementation of programs suplieran previous PCPI was pending.

The Community and the council had received the support of all political groups to maintain these programs, but it has not been possible due to the refusal of the director, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.

This decision has affected more than 160 students, plus those who have been on the waiting list, and 17 workers who gave training to 11 professional profiles.

The refusal of the Ministry of Education to maintain these training programs and job placement following the entry into force of LOMCE, aimed at young people between 16 and 21 years has led to serious damage to both the teachers who taught such courses as students who had access to them.

"We are talking about students who have left school without qualifications, no training and no job prospects; 160 students mean 160 families affected, some with high risk of social exclusion" reported.

Both candidates recalled that the city of Murcia has invested "huge resources" to provide the necessary infrastructure and workshops to teach the PCPI, plus more than 300 partner companies that provided services for the practices of such students.

For the city of Murcia have passed thanks to these programs over 3,000 students, with a degree of insertion around 80 percent and a degree of graduate degrees in about 60 percent.

"From the PSOE we know that the city of Murcia has not been diligent, since resources that currently have other municipalities and autonomous communities of Youth Guarantee, to output these young people without training or employment, Murcia not have been launched by lack of management ".

They added that "the problem is that they have not only become unemployed workers, but most of the students left the PCPI are on the road as classical Vocational no response and having no nor the degree at ESO there is no alternative for these young people. "

The PSOE commitment, reflected both in the regional electoral program and in the municipal, is to give continuity to the PCPI the municipality of Murcia, using its own funds and European funds, through the Youth Guarantee Program.

For socialist candidates, "the real nonsense is now precisely occurs in the city of Murcia Youth Guarantee Program is an empty shell without content" reproached.
