José Luis Mendoza delivered during the signing of agreements, 4,000 euros to each of these associations
Sixteen representatives of associations working in volunteering and social support have gathered this morning at the UCAM occasion of the signing of agreements with the educational institution.
These associations join a large group of others who already work with the university in this area.
These agreements allow students, faculty and staff collaborate as volunteer UCAM with these institutions.
Speaking at the ceremony, the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, highlighted the great work they are undertaking these institutions for the needy and asked attendees with the love of Christ to these people in need.
Moreover, the director of the International Institute of Charity and Volunteer John Paul II, Antonio Alcaraz, recalled that over 1,000 students and teachers have participated in international volunteering conducted in Peru and world youth days.
Also, through the Master in Social Development offered by the Catholic University, students conduct voluntary service in several Latin American countries (Colombia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Peru, Guatemala, Ecuador, Chile) and China.
"Our students have also participated in various development cooperation projects in various African countries," stressed Alcaraz.
