The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, has accompanied this afternoon to members of the senior center of San Miguel in the celebration of World Book Day, an event organized for the second year in which participants exchanged books flowers.
The event, which took place at the headquarters of the association, also attended by the Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, the president of the Municipal Board, Maria Angeles Galindo, and the president center, Marilina Carrascosa, plus numerous partners who filled the center's facilities.
House, who is also President of Honor, has received a warm tribute by the members of the association, which at this time is celebrating its tenth anniversary.
Before gifts, partners enjoyed the performance of the Rondalla de San Miguel, who played several popular subjects.
The largest center of San Miguel has about 900 members who participate in a full program of activities, including English classes, gerontogimnasia and tai chi.
