Children and young Quarter of the Holy Spirit will enhance their artistic talents thanks to Urban Plan (22/04/2015)

Children and youth in the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit, through the Urban Plan may qualify for a support service to their training and education through tutoring and special monitoring children gifted in the arts

The Governing Board has awarded this service to Codepeco, for a period of two years and an investment of over 362,000 euros.

The program is composed of 6 different activities, but interconnected develop all in the premises of the Centre of Education and Basic housed.

These activities are:

- Classroom Morning.

Activity to ensure assistance to schools and school CEIBasSalzillo La Milagrosa of school, in order to reduce absenteeism and promoting the reconciliation of work and family life.

Includes breakfast and subsequent support at school.

- Strengthening Workshop School.

This workshop requires the completion of individual and group plans in coordination with schools and teachers of students work.

- Educational Tutoring for gifted for arts students.

The purpose of this activity is to perform a personalized follow a group of children, especially gifted in the arts, to facilitate learning methodologies art education and facilitate their adaptation to the regular courses.

- Involvement of families in the educational process of children.

This activity aims to raise awareness among families of the importance of attendance of minors to different educational processes (school and extracurricular activities).

- Support education beyond compulsory schooling.

Promote equal opportunities in access, retention and promotion of people in the neighborhood to educational resources.

Includes support and educational support for official teachings: exam preparation ESO, for over 16 years;

conducting Initial Vocational Training Programs (PCPI) and high school.

Continuing Adult Education: Basic Literacy for people who can not read and write.

- Educational outings, to introduce students to the cultural, natural and heritage diversity of the city and the region of Murcia;

enhance critical appraisal of the nearest environment;

complete training with visits to facilities and educational and cultural activities;

encourage artistic understanding and critical appreciation of cultural products and heritage.

6 outputs to the city and 6 trips out of town will be conducted annually.
