The Emergency Management and 061 emergency launches a special device for the day of the Burial of the Sardine (10/04/2015)

The director of the Emergency Management and 061 emergency in the Region of Murcia, Francisco Celdrán requests the cooperation of citizens to speed up the performance of the health workforce

The Emergency Management and 061 emergency in the Region of Murcia, under the Murcia Health Service (SMS) of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, participates in the special device scheduled for the day of the Burial of the Sardine, declared party International Tourist Interest.

In this special device for Saturday, April 11, set in the Spring Festival which celebrates the city of Murcia, also collaborate, as usual, local organizations like the Red Cross, the grouping of Civil Defence volunteers and staff Emergency Department.

From the Management of Emergency Sanitary two medicalized Emergency Units (EMU) and a Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV) will be mobilized.

Thus, the team of each of these UME will comprise a doctor, a nurse and two technicians in Health Emergencies;

and the VIR will comprise a nurse and a technician Health Emergency SMS.

The director of the Emergency Management and Emergency Health 061 Murcia, Francisco Celdrán, noted that "the aim is to have a device adjusted to the needs of the day to provide effective health response."

In this sense, Celdrán stressed the "importance" of citizen collaboration to facilitate the performance of health professionals and which, he said, "is usually a day of crowds".

It is envisaged that the medical device start at 10:00 hours with the VIR, which will be roaming the streets of the city, and early in the afternoon (16:00) will join the device when the other two UME Management.

The whole device is monitored and systematized from the Emergency Coordinator (CCU) Center and will be operational, as usual, until the chief coordinator of the guard CCU determined.

These are human and material resources to strengthen, as pointed director of management, human and sanitary means by which the city of Murcia to provide a rapid and coordinated response at the time of the Burial of the Sardine.

Last year, during the day the Burial of the Sardine were served 114 people so Celdrán appealed for "prudence" for citizens to enjoy this feast in moderation.
