This is the second time that this species breeds in captivity within the complex.

Thus, the number of individuals of these birds has increased from eight who had three were white and the rest black, 13 copies in total.

At birth, the chicks have weighed between 60 and 80 grams.

After the female put the eggs has been necessary to spend almost 45 days to meet these little black swans.

Contrary to what may seem, at birth the offspring of this species its plumage is gray, a hue that changes as they grow up adopting their final feathers are black.

The flock of chicks spends the day chasing the mother and father, and learn from them using the technique of imitation, playing everything they do their parents.

It was not until six months when the calves are completely emancipated from their parents and make separate lives.

Curiously, this species is monogamous so once you find your partner stays with her for the rest of his life.

There is only 6% of couples who separate.

Recent studies have shown that about a third of the offspring outside the parental couple.

It is estimated, in fact, that a quarter of the couples are gay, especially among men.

They are charged with robbing the nests or form temporary threesomes with females for eggs and the female ward after he has laid eggs.
