The Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, attended today's procession of Salzillos of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.
Last Friday the Governing Council approved the declaration, comoBien of Cultural Interest (BIC) of intangible character of 'The Morning Salzillo' set of traditions developed around the morning of Good Friday in the city of Murcia, which is materialize in this procession with sculptures made by Francisco Salzillo elsiglo XVIII.
This statement as BIC highlights the artistic quality of the sculpture, with significance both in the region, with the creation of a whole school of imagery, as in the history of international art.
