The City of Murcia has developed a new information service aimed at citizens, social and economic agents to reflect the socioeconomic reality of the municipality.
Through www.murciaencifras.es, visitors can learn about the evolution of urban reality of the municipality and have valuable information on aspects that make up the urban context: the competitiveness of the economic, social sustainability, and sustainability environmental.
In general, the information focuses on the municipal level, but also used as reference other territorial areas that are of interest for comparison purposes and are required to study processes and situations that exceed the local economy.
Also, the Web site has a special section on the socioeconomic reality of the districts is collected, and provides information on unemployment data, business or productive sectors of each of the entities of the township.
The information contained in the portal is obtained, for the most part, using data from secondary sources but, far from being merely a statistical repertoire, has been developed to improve accessibility and understanding by citizens, through a beautifully designed and very visual format.
So, do not try to duplicate information already contained in other statistical directories, web pages, reports or other documents published regularly by other public or private institutions, but offer information processing that adds value, either through statistical, mathematical or econometric evidence, or through the incorporation of graphic elements to facilitate their understanding and interpretation.
Given the variety of information posted on the municipal level, inevitably is complete and provide secondary data sources homemade.
To do this it has three lines:
First, from specific farms on the town of Murcia made to the Observatory of Murcia other institutions such as Public Service of Employment, General Treasury of the Social Security in Murcia, General Statistics and Information Branch of the Ministry of Employment and social security.

Thus, basic information is organized, where are the sections related to territory, population, labor market, economic activity, as well as the facilities and services available to the municipality,;
comparison with other municipalities, parishes information, studies and newsletters, and City Hall in figures, earl offers a more convenient information access municipal character.
