UCAM students studying at the Beijing Sport University (26/03/2015)

The Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) and the Beijing Sports University in China initialed a partnership agreement to collaborate in various areas.

The first step is the exchange of students has already been launched.

There are six places available for students of the Faculty of Sport of the UCAM to study during the first semester of 2015/16 in Beijing Sport University.

For its part, the UCAM students also receive this Chinese university after next summer.

In the near future, teacher exchanges and concrete research collaborations and communication are considered.

The Beijing Sports University, which is under the State Administration of Sports has formed throughout its history to a large number of athletes, coaches and scholars of great international reputation.

Zhen Guanghao, regional director of the UCAM in China, and Hua Yongmin, deputy rector of the Office of Foreign Affairs of Beijing Sport University, signed the agreement that binds two institutions have in sport one of its hallmarks.

With this agreement, a partnership between a university that is a reference in sports education in China and one that has created a unique model in Europe with tutoring to high-level athletes is formed.

The relationship between the two institutions was born in September 2014, when a delegation visited Beijing Sport University UCAM to know the work done in sports.

Betting on college sports, the work done so athletes can combine studies, training and competitions and the presence of professional teams belonging to the university as the UCAM Murcia CB (Liga Endesa) and UCAM Murcia CF (Second B ) drew the attention of representatives of the Chinese institution.
