Aguas de Murcia awarded yesterday to four young I Literary Contest Winners 'Stories Smart Water' at an event commemorating the Water Day held at the Museum of Science.

The Councillor for Education, Lola Sanchez and CEO of Aguas de Murcia yesterday delivered the awards, which went to the category's degree in Juan Antonio Pérez with the story "From my window 'and Clara Noguera by' close my eyes'.

In the section on High, the winners are Carlos Rodriguez for 'Marina sardines' and Lucia Garcia 'Gua'.

The awards consist of a mini iPad for the winner and an e-book for the second.

A jury of writers Alberto Caride and Marisa López García Soria and Resurrection, Aguas de Murcia, selected these works among the youth of the town presented by between 12 and 17 years.

Aguas de Murcia launched the contest in June to coincide with the celebration of World Environment Day.

This literary pioneering initiative aims to contribute to the spread of water culture and encourage youth participation in sustainable use and protection of the environment through literature.

The theme required to qualify for the contest focused on importance of water in society and in life, responsible use and care of the environment, as well as the perception that participants have the smart city concept and intelligent water.
