Half a century after it was first procesionara Our Lady of the First Pain in the Guild of Health, as does every Holy Tuesday, a new book recounts the history of this splendid image of the institution that reveres and events held occasion of the fiftieth anniversary.
The church-museum of San Juan de Dios hosted the presentation of this work, which was in charge of official chronicler of Murcia and journalist, Antonio Botías.
The ceremony was also attended by the Mayor, Miguel Angel House;
President of the Superior Council of Guilds, Ramon Sanchez-Parra;
Councillor for Culture, Rafael Gómez;
President Cinquantenaire, Basilio Jose Pinero;
Cape Andas of the Virgin, Esteban de la Peña, and numerous presidents of the various guilds Murcia.
The new book collects interesting collaborations on the history of the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Health and Brotherhood to take to the streets every Easter Tuesday the image of Our Lady of the First Sorrow, by Francisco Salzillo that is worshiped in the parish of San Miguel.
Among the authors who have contributed to this edition are the official chronicler of the region, José Antonio Melgares Guerrero, journalist José Emilio Rubio, delos researchers José Cuesta, Pedro and Jose Alberto Fernández Sánchez, and the driver of the acts of the Cinquantenaire Marhuenda Enrique Correas, Basilio Piñero José Fernandez Saez and José Granero.
Another feature of this work is the edition of a leading photographic archive that reflects the half century of passion, art, culture and recollection that holds the image.
