The rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, and the president of the association Restart, Francisco Gallego, have signed an agreement whereby the latter will manage waste electrical and electronic equipment from the educational institution.
Restart, which is authorized for this type of waste management, installed a large container for the disposal of waste (household appliances, batteries, computers, electronics, vending machines, etc.) and collection boxes in buildings tubes fluorescent and batteries.
The agreement, which governs the terms of collection and transport is promoted by the Department of Infrastructure and Sustainability, directed by Professor José María Abellán, who said that with the signed agreement, the University recycles all types of material.
Restart president, meanwhile, said the collaboration with the University of Murcia, "so that means this institution in the region and the possibility of educating young people about the need for recycling of electrical appliances".
The Orihuela rector congratulated the association for the "important work to facilitate the management of waste citizens and, with this agreement, the university community."
