The Director General of Research CARM, Celia Martinez, congratulated the University for the initiative to divide the call in different areas of knowledge
San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia has delivered this morning Awards UCAM Science Olympiad 2015. They included nearly 200 high school students and final year of Higher Vocational Training in the Region of Murcia, who demonstrated their knowledge in areas such as Telecommunications, Computers, Food Sciences, Physical Sciences and Sport, Pharmacy, Tourism, Business Administration or physiotherapy.
The Director General of Research, Innovation and Information Society, Celia Martinez, stressed the importance of such activities to "generate scientific and technological vocation" and that promote values ​​such as teamwork or the culture of effort.
He also congratulated the UCAM for implementing this call for Olympics in different areas and categories.
For its part, the Vice President for Research at the University, Estrella Nunez, said that with the institution wants Scientific Olympics "reward academic excellence" of the youth of the region.
Financing of tuition
The UCAM funds 100% enrollment of first-year students who have been at the forefront in each category.
Moreover, the latter they were gratified with 50% of it, and third with 25%, the latter also concerning the freshman year.
