The City of Murcia gets a record to get an interest rate 0.55% (04/03/2015)

A total of nine financiaras entities have offered more than 300% of the amount requested by the City

The Board of Governors approved an operation this morning Treasury to continue paying suppliers on time, as needed.

Financial institutions offered to the City of Murcia 103 million euros, 340% more than the 30 million requested in a much more favorable terms than those offered in 2014. The offered nominal rates ranging between 0.55% and 0.90%, "being a record in the history of the City," said Councillor of Finance, Isabel Martinez Conesa.

Once the nine proposals submitted by a total of eight financial institutions analyzed, the Governing Board has awarded the requested amount, 30 million euros, to CaixaBank, an organization that has offered the most advantageous conditions for the interests of the citizens of Murcia, at a fixed rate of 0.55%.

This rate greatly enhance the expectations of the government team of the City, as in the previous operation Treasury, which took place a year ago, in March 2014, 50 million euros were awarded to five entities, some types ranged between 2.539% and 3.449% .;

and if we go back to 2013, were awarded a total of 18.5 million euros at a nominal rate of between 5.25% and 6.50%.
