The House approved unanimously to ask the stamp of 'Ciudad reconociento Friend of Infancia' (29/01/2015)

The Municipal People's Party, the Socialist Municipal Group, IU-Greens and UPyD have filed a joint motion to the House held this morning "to ask the Seal of Recognition 'Child Friendly City' in the next call to take place, taking up fundamentals, requirements, documentation and procedures to manage this Consistory for such Seal ".

UNICEF Spain has the program 'Child Friendly Cities', which aims to encourage and promote the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in the field of local entities and encourage networking among them.

The main objectives of the program 'Child Friendly Cities' are supporting the creation of municipal plans childhood, promote citizen participation of all children in municipal public life, promote municipal policies aimed at promoting the development of the rights of girls and children, and to promote networking of UNICEF Spain with municipalities and among themselves.

Currently, and since its launch in 2002, have been recognized 115 municipalities throughout Spain as 'Child Friendly City'.

The City seeks to adhere to this initiative, "given the quality and prestige of this program, national and international reference in monitoring and evaluation for the different municipalities continue to maintain quality standards in the field of child rights and the importance of participate in a network of municipalities in which they can share technical expertise locally and channel training ".
