Service companies require professionals in the area of ​​Geographic Information Systems (28/01/2015)

The Catholic University of Murcia started, the month of February, the second edition of the Master Title Proper Geographic Information Systems with ArcGIS Technology, a formation that comes to meet the demand for utilities and large public corporations and private specialists in this area of ​​knowledge, says the coordinator of the Master, Ramón Pablo García.

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) help manage large amounts of information through maps that identify patterns and trends, making it easier to make strategic decisions.

This title, which is taught in a blended format and has an absolutely practical, is conducted in collaboration with the ESRI multinational leader in the market regarding the global geographic information through its ArcGIS tool.

Once the student completes the studies obtains two degrees: the university itself, then another derived from ESRI own accreditation.

Wide application

Current Information Technologies are based, for the most part, from a geographic component absolutely necessary in conducting market analysis for the optimization of routes, distribution of goods, service networks, distribution of energy and business location, among others.

Therefore from the Master himself indicated that although this matter has traditionally been linked to issues of engineering or architecture, is seeing that there is potential in other disciplines such as economics, sociology and health sciences.
