The City installed a remote management system of street lighting in the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit (25/01/2015)

The Holy Spirit URBAN-project, financed with European FEDER funds, continues to improve the facilities and environment of the area, in this case acting in municipal facilities by installing new lighting and installing a tele management system, which saves costs .

The installed power of 6,465 W is currently being installed capacity above 11,850 W. The power consumption was 50,360 kWh / year, equivalent to 9,000 euros.

Energy consumption will now be 27,500 kWh / year, equivalent to 4,900 euros.

Getting an annual saving of 4,100 euros, representing a reduction of 45% over current spending.

The streets are being acted: Río Segura, Sevilla, Schools, Bailen, Valencia, Pizarro, Carmen Red, San Ignacio, Solidarity, Cartagena, Murcia, Madrid and Barcelona.

Luminaires were installed last generation that are installed on metal columns six and seven meters high, covered with insulating material (glass fiber reinforced polyamide), LED technology with the possibility of experiencing electrical leads is removed and it does not suffer problems of moisture corrosion.

The facility has a remote management system with which all the variables of the system, equal to those already implemented in the Barrios of Fame and Santa Eulalia in Murcia, but with two special features that improve those premises are monitored:

The facility has continuous power, with the remote management system that gives orders on, off and reduced light level.

In this way you can monitor the installation at daytime and detect immediately any tampering, theft cable or luminaire, thus minimizing the damage.

The facility, as in the rest of the municipality, will reduce the lighting level (and therefore energy) during the morning.

The LED technology allows reductions of around 60% -70%, compared to 25% which reduces the traditional system with discharge lamps sodium vapor.

It is strong reduction of the light level is offset by the incorporation of detectors in each point of light, which will raise the level of each point and the environment, when a person or vehicle is passing through its area of influence.

Thus, on a street or pedestrian area, the presence of passers will be detected because the streetlights increase the brightness in its path.

This increases the level of security compared to traditional flat lighting, because it indicates the presence of anyone in a precise area.

The facility will be monitored throughout both from the Control Center Municipal Street Lighting, located in the building Abenarabi avenue, and from the guardhouse of the company awarded the service lighting maintenance and from internet time.

The installation will generate alarms for technical services and maintenance company at the time that any abnormality occurs.
