The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, has welcomed this step because it confirms that "both the Government of Spain, through, in this case, the Ministry of Environment as the city of Murcia, we are fulfilling our commitments."

The publication of the announcement follows the meetings held by the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, and the president of the Segura basin, Miguel Ángel Ródenas, the general director of Water, Liana Ardiles, which reaffirmed the consideration of this work as a priority action for the two administrations.

The interceptor, whose implementation is expected within 21 months, be prepared to withstand the maximum flow of 100 cubic meters per second.

You can catch the runoff from all intersecting boulevards, the main those of Espinardo, El Puntal, Churra and Cabeza de Torres.

Moreover, along with other projects Measures Plan for Growth, Competitiveness and Efficiency of Government -Plan grows-promoted by the Ministry of Environment, published in the Official Journal of the European Union also contains the list of conditions techniques for the service contract for the production of the preliminary environmental assessment and monitoring and management of environmental assessment that corresponds to the extension works WWTP Murcia, with an amount of 0.8 million euros.
