The Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, visited the school Our Lady of Consolation Espinardo today and held a working meeting with the directivade this center, which pioneered the Spanish Federation of Religious Murcia in the implementation of bilingual education .. This initiative, launched in the region in 2008-2009 with four schools, has already spread to 75 percent of Catholic schools in the region, either in the form of enhancement or bilingual.

The curriculum provides that every year the schools develop their own program with the educational community in which objectives are set to develop for progressive implantaciónde teaching Spanish and English.

The Beda is based on three axes: the qualitative increase of bilingual education, comprehensive external evaluation of students, teachers and educational community with the support of the University of Cambridge, and delconjunto teacher education and care takers for the greatest domain the English language.

In this course are over 28,500 elementary students in the region who study in Spanish and English.

Specifically, 11,000 do first, 4,000 of them in one of the 80colegios who joined the bilingual program in 2014-2015 year.
