The Cathedral Museum is celebrating the 550th anniversary of the signing of the papal bull of the dedication of the Cathedral, signed by Pope Paul II on 24 January 1465. Each January 24 is celebrated this day special way entire diocesan Church, especially in the SI Cathedral which is celebrated in the Conventual Mass at 9:45 pm manner.
To celebrate this anniversary the Cathedral Museum, place this January, the themed visit 'The Cathedral temple dedicated "to know the history of their dedication and symbolism of his consecration to God.
The visits will take place on Saturdays 17, 24 and 31 January.
As always, visits by reservation will be made at the counter of the museum or through telephone number 968 21 97 13. The cost of visits is six euros per person and start every Saturday at 10:00 am near the entrance to the Cathedral on the Plaza de la Cruz.
Also on Wednesday January 14, the Delegate of Liturgy, D. Ramón Navarro, give a lecture: "The rite of dedication of a temple."
It will be at 19:30 on the first floor of the Museum of the Cathedral and with free admission.
In 1465 the signing of the papal bull was made, but it was two years later when the dedication of the Holy Cathedral was held in 1467. An anniversary -550 years already preparing specially the Cathedral Chapter Ilustrísimo to held in 2017.
