The UCAM move its model 'Sport University' five other European universities (07/01/2015)

San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia has become national and international reference as 'the University of Sport'.

His model, implemented since its foundation and devised by President José Luis Mendoza, is supporting athletes so they can combine their studies with training and competition.

Therefore, the EU has funded a project led by the UCAM, to implement this model in five other European universities.

This project, called 'Developing an Innovative European Sport Tutorship model for the dual career of athletes' will be developed from the Faculty of Sport and the Office of International Projects UCAM, in collaboration with the Sports Activities Service, the Office of Foreign International and Communications Office, under the direction of Dean of the Faculty Antonio Sánchez Pato.

With last thirty months and a budget of 390,000 euros, will transfer the knowledge and experience gained by the Catholic University of Murcia five European universities and institutions also committed to the development of the Dual Career: Panepistimio Thessalias (Greece) Universita ta Malta (Malta), Universita degli Studi di Roma Foro Italico (Italy), Leeds Trinity University and EuroPartnership Foundation Limited (UK).

One of the key points is to develop, implement and transfer the mentoring program for athletes, known as 'Sport Tutorship'.
